How to Reach Gasa?<\/h1>\n

The land of hot springs and unnatural peaks, Gasa is famous for offering one of the most scenic treks in all of Bhutan. Travelling to Gasa can be difficult due to muddy road situations. The roads aren\u2019t as good as the other places in Bhutan.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

By Air<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

The wisest way is to fly to Paro, Bhutan’s only International airport. If you are travelling from India, then you can take flights from Delhi, Kolkata, Siliguri, Gaya and Guwahati. From other places like Kathmandu, Singapore, Dhaka and Bangkok, Druk Airlines operates regular flights to Bhutan.<\/p>\n

On reaching Paro, take a taxi or bus to Punakha, followed by another taxi or bus to Gasa. It’s advisable to spend a night in Punakha and continue your journey to Gasa the other day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

By Road<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

If you opt to drive yourself then entering Bhutan via Phuntsholing is a great idea. From here you can take the Thimphu- Gasa route and reach Gasa. The distance between the last laps of journey is of 135 km, and it may take around 5 hours to complete it.<\/p>\n

Another way is to take a bus from Kolkata\u2019s Esplanade Station to Thimphu, and then hire a cab to reach Gasa.<\/p>\n
