This is also the only place in the country where you can enjoy a safari. Most of it is also environmentally protected, while the far western part of the district consists of a part of Phibsoo Wildlife Sanctuary. The top attractions here are Gelephu (a region with incredible biodiversity), Gelepu Tshachu (hot springs whose water is believed to cure diseases) and Gelephu Airport.
