Goa is all set to host its sixth edition of two days Tribal Festival on 7th and 8th of January 2017. Organized by the Adivasi Sanghatana, this festival will be held at the Village Panchayat Ground, Xeldem – Quepem, Goa. The Tribal Festival of Goa aims to promote, preserve and rejuvenate the essence of Goa’s many festivals, games, culture, cuisine, and customs. Traditional games like logoreani, chateani, ton barani\u2014guli danda etc will be played. Other items that will be displayed during the festival are stalls with traditional instruments, clothing, including other preparation of traditional items like, san\u2019n (broom making), nivoni (paddy grass weaving) and fulla fati (head bands of flowers) etc.<\/p>\n

The dates and timing of the event will be as – 7th January, the event will commence from 3pm and on 8th January, the festival will begin from 10am onwards for the whole day. The Tribal Festival of 2017 is expected to draw large numbers of tourists from across the world to showcase its uniqueness of the festival and to boost Goa Tourism and get insight into Goa\u2019s lifestyles.<\/p>\n
