This news has recently come all the way from Pondicherry which is soon going to give India its first Underwater Sea Museum. How the Plan is Coming Up?

Donated by the Indian Navy to support tourism, the decommissioned ship, named INS Cuddalore, will be sunk in the ocean water at a distance of some 7 km from the Pondicherry shore.
In this entire venture, algae and barnacles will play salient roles; the rusting remains of the ship will be inlaid with them. The algae and barnacles will persuade the marine creatures to make a home at this 12 m wide and 60 m long vessel. As a result of this, adventurous tourists will get to a see a marine museum through snorkeling. That sounds phenomenal!
When is the Museum Opening?

The exact opening time of this marine museum in Pondicherry is still unknown. It is said that once they started dwelling at this place, the museum will be thrown open for general public.
What to Expect from the Underwater Sea Museum?

With the establishment of this museum in Pondicherry, the demand for underwater activities like snorkeling and scuba diving is also be expected to increase. This entire development is supported by Pondicherry Government, NGO PondyCan, National Centre for Coastal Research and National Institute of Ocean Technology. However, clearance certificate from State Pollution Control Board and National Coastal Zone Management Authority for this project is still under progress.
