Last Sunday, AirAsia India rolled out a week-long sale offer by presenting tickets costing as low as INR 699 (including taxes). The offer is applicable on its entire network and is expected to help company maintain its pace in this domestic fare war. This Indian airline is proffering tickets for Rs. 699 for flights from Bengaluru to Chennai, Kochi, Goa, Jaipur and Chandigarh and vice versa.
A press release by AirAsia said “This offer is a part of its Malaysian parent company AirAsia’s scheme of putting forth three million promotion seats from Kuala Lumpur with a price starting from Rs. 2599 for international flights run by AirAsia Berhad and Thai AirAsia”.
The release also stated that customers can avail the offer of Rs. 2599 on flights from Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Tiruchirappalli and Hyderabad to Kuala Lumpur operated by AirAsia Berhad. The offer is also valid on flights from Chennai to Bangkok operated by Thai AirAsia.
On November 9, AirAsia opened its website for booking flight-tickets-on-offer. Customers can book such tickets till November 16 for a travel period from June 10, 2015 to January 17, 2016..
The CEO of AirAsia India, Mittu Chandilya said “It is our one of the priorities to make air travel affordable for every Indian”. He further added that the ‘Big Sale’ by Malaysian parent company will help travelers plan their journey in advance with extremely low fares.
