PM Modi became an important part of a historic event when he flagged off the first express train (22412/22411) from Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh to New Delhi.
In a function held at Indira Gandhi Park in Itanagar on the occasion of state’s 29thfoundation day, PM Modi pressed a button to inaugurate the Naharlagun-New Delhi Express.
The PM, accompanied by Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha and Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, said that this establishment of railway link between Arunachal and Delhi will augment growth and bring development to the state & other parts of North East.
Here are the timings of the express train, which will depart every Sunday from New Delhi and reach Itanagar on the third day i.e. Tuesday:

While being there, he also inaugurated an inter-city train between Naharlagun and Guwahati. Further, he laid the first building bricks of 132 KV power transmission project and the other project that will provide pure drinking water to the residents of Itanagar.
