Spicejet launched a lucrative special fare scheme ‘Early Bird’ this Monday, allowing customers to avail air tickets for prices as low as Rs 499. This three-day offer, which started on Sep 1, comes with a travel validity period between Jan 16, 2015 and Oct 24, 2015.
As per the press release from SpiceJet, customers can book tickets for any destination in India, with one-way prices as low as Rs 499 (inclusive of fuel surcharge but exclusive of applicable statutory taxes and fees).
One of the ideas behind introducing ‘Early Bird’ scheme was to allow customers to plan their holidays in advance without burning a hole in their pocket. The release also stated that the offer is applicable on the entire domestic network of Spicejet, whether it is a direct, via or connecting flight.
Kaneswaran Avili, the chief commercial officer of SpiceJet Ltd. said that the Early Bird sale will be very beneficial in making vacationing plans in advance and cutting the total travel cost of customers. He also said that the number of air travelers has increased over the years, especially during holiday season. And this offer from SpiceJet will further swell this number. Avili then stated that the scheme will enable an average Indian to go for more than one holiday a year at rock bottom prices.
SpiceJet had come with a similar offer last week as well, offering fares starting from Rs 1,888 across its domestic network. The airline currently covers 41 Indian and 8 international cities by operating 340 daily flights daily.
