Rajasthan To Introduce Night Tourism
For a long time, travel industry of Jaipur was observing the need of Night Tourism in the city due to the huge influx of national as well as foreign tourists. Now, the government has also acknowledged its need and has therefore planned to launch Night Tourism in Jaipur and some other cities in November this year. This was announced by the official of government’s travel department, Mr. Shalender Aggarwal.

The monuments of Jaipur will not be closed for tourists at 5-6 PM in the evening. They will remain open till 11 PM in the night so that tourists can make the most of their stay. In the 49th annual conference of FHRI, Mr. Aggarwal said that Night Tourism will also attract tourists in summers.
To stick to the guideline of November, government has started installing flood lights on monuments. The plan also includes giving the renovation work of 35 forts in the city on lease or joint ventures to private sector. The talks are also on for handing over the maintenance work of other state assets to private sector.
The travel department of Rajasthan intends to promote Handicraft, Birding and Spiritual sectors of the state. Thus, it has planned to introduce Handicraft Circuit, Birding Circuit and Spiritual Circuit in Rajasthan. Handicraft circuit will revolve around village life, birding circuit will focus on keoladeo national park and spiritual circuit will cover the famous temples in the state.
Further, government will also make changes to the tourism policy. The spotlight of these changes will be on hotel conversion and easy availability of the land.
For seven years, 100 percent rebate will be given on luxury tax and the rebate in conversion charges will be 50 percent. Further, government is planning to give 20 percent subsidy on labor. However, it is not clear yet.
