Ever wondered why the color of a White Bengal Tiger is white? A recently conducted study in Beijing has most probably answered this question. The study says that it is a minor change in one of the pigment genes that is responsible for the white color of the White Bengal Tiger.
The white-colored Bengal Tigers are found in the forests of India and the species has always been in news due to their unconventional color.
The study on the white color of Bengal Tiger was carried out in the Peking University of China in the leadership of known researchers. It has also been published in the famous magazine ‘Current Biology’.
Further, it is interesting to mention that white tigers are found only in Indian wildlife sanctuaries & forests.
