Don’t litter Here and There
Throw garbage in the dustbin. It is as simple as that. If you don’t have a dustbin around you, then keep those empty wrappers in your pocket and throw them when you find a dustbin.
Avoid Polythene Bags
Polythene takes hundreds of years to decompose. Use bags made of paper or other biodegradable material
Don’t Spit/Urinate Anywhere
Never spit. It makes the area unhygienic. And you don’t have to urinate in public. Look for public washroom and relieve yourself there.
Don’t Write on the Walls of Monuments
Monuments are the most precious treasures of our nation. Don’t write on their walls and stop others too.
Inform Government Authority About unclean/Unhygienic Places
Click pictures of that unclean/unhygienic place and send it to concerned authority.
Wear a t-shirt with ‘Clean India’ slogan
This way, it is easier to express that you are committed to ‘Clean India’ initiative. And there are strong chances that other tourists will imitate this act.
Use Local Trains/ Battery Operated Vehicles or Clean Fuels Vehicles as mode of transportation
Instead of hiring a taxi, use those modes of transportation that don’t cause pollution.
If Possible, Donate to NGO’s Working for ‘Clean India’ Campaign
In case your inner voice tell you to do more for ‘Clean India Campaign’, then you can always donate to any of the NGOs associated with this cause.
