The popular tourist destination of India, Uttarakhand is experiencing heavy snowfall because of which the cold sizzle on the mountains and plains have increased further. Snowfall in one of the Char Dham temples Badrinath has also started on Wednesday afternoon due to which the maximum temperature was reduced to about 3°C. Also, the weather forecast by Meteorological Department predicts the possibility of rain and snowfall in many places of Uttarakhand in the next 24 hours. Not only this, but warning of hailstorm has also been issued in Garhwal region in places like Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri and Kumaon region’s Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar.

The winter season has led Dehradun and Mussoorie experience a decrease in the temperature. Schools remained closed in the Garhwal region of the state including Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Tehri and Uttarkashi as the cold winds made people shiver all throughout the day. Also, apart from Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri snowfall was seen on the peaks of Hemkund Sahib.
