The authorities of Kanha National Park announced that from December 15, an elephant bathing show will start in the Banjar River, Mukki Zone of the park. Happening for the first time in the Kanha National Park, the show is already sold out through the 2nd January. Apart from this, many other initiatives have been taken by the authorities to attract more tourists for New Year. A visitors space is in the making process around the river.
At a time, only 5 vehicles carrying 30 passengers will be allowed to enter the park between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Also, these tourists will get an opportunity to go for a safari in the buffer zone of the Kanha National Park. Charges to attend the show will be extra.
Director of the Kanha National Park, Sanjay Shukla revealed to the media that a parade of elephants usually go for patrolling in the park. It’s usually during the afternoon that they are seen splashing in mud and bathing in the river at the Nature Park. Watching all these elephants doing nothing but playing and snacking can be a treat for the visitors. This initiative has been taken up to attract more tourists during the new year.
