Setting his foot in the city which is renowned as the home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Canadian Prime Minister on his first day of Official tour to India, spent some fun time with his family adoring the pearly beauty of Agra, Taj Mahal. The Rockstar of Canada along with his wife, two sons and daughter who were greeted by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of State for Agriculture are really pumped about their one-week long trip to the culturally blessed land of India. Sharing his experiences, Justin Trudeau talked about his first visit to Taj Mahal, when he was 10 years old, the same age as his son, Xavier. After visiting the architectural marvel of Mughal era, the family visited the Wildlife SOS Elephant Conservation and Care Centre in Mathura, which is the roof for the rescued Asian elephants and sloth bears who are mostly brought here from circus and Kalanders respectively. The Prime Minister also does not fail to put the message forward about the significance of protecting wildlife and also that no matter how fast everything is developing, we have to take care of the flora and fauna that pre-existed. Even though very young, the children of Justin Trudeau understand the value of wildlife and how important it is to conserve it and forward it in a good condition in the hands of the future generation.
The Canadian Prime Minister next made his way to the pristine tourist attractions of Gujarat like Sabarmati Ashram and Akshardham temple. Followed by visit to popular travel destinations in India like Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Amritsar and New Delhi in the upcoming days. While in Gujarat, the Canadian Prime Minister is expected to deliberate on the topic “Education and Investment Opportunities” at Indian Institute of Management. On February 23, Justin Trudeau will finally meet the Indian Prime Minister where the leaders are supposedly going to take the discussion further on India’s agitation over Sikh radicalism in Canada which was earlier made in the meeting among the two nation’s National Security Advisers. Canada’s cabinet ministers, defence minister along with Justin Trudeau disaffirmed that there is no such reason to pay heed to regarding the issue. Further discussions on agendas like defence, trade, space, confronting climate change energy, civil nuclear cooperation and education are expected to be made by the two nation leaders.
