733 devotees attained spirituality by paying homage to Baba Kedar on Tuesday (5th May). Among the pilgrims, 12 were foreigners who belong to Russia and the US. According to Rajkumar Nautiyal of BKTC, as the weather was clear in Dham since two days, the pilgrims are visiting the shrine from the crack of dawn till late evening. As per the information provided by Yatra Control Room, 805 people departed for Kedarnath from Gaurikund and Sonprayag from 6AM till 1PM. Most of the devotees covered the trail on foot while 139 pilgrims carried out their excursion on horses and mules. 205 individuals had returned from the shrine till 3 ‘o’ clock in the afternoon.
In Kedarnath, the temperature crossed 21 degree Celsius on Tuesday. Sky was clear since morning and there was a radiant sunshine throughout the day as well. There were no clouds in last three days. Maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded as 21.7 degree and 4.8 degree Celsius respectively. The temperature has reached to the maximum of 20 degree Celsius from December last year till March this year. The sun was shining brightly all through the day in the lower regions of the district. In Rudraprayag, maximum temperature was 30 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded 14 degree Celsius.
