‘Kumbha Mela’, internationally known as "the world's most massive act of faith”, attracts thousands of pilgrims from ever corner of the world. The ‘Mela’ is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage which occurs once at each of the four different locations named Allahabad, Haridwar, Ujjain and Nasik. The last ‘Mela’ held was in Jan 2007 at Allahbad. The carnival continued for 45 days where more than 65 million Hindu pilgrims took part and made it the largest gathering. This sacred carnival is again going to take place at Haridwar from 1st January – 30th April, 2010.
