is a beach that is around 10 kms. from Mapusa, North Goa. The
most basic attraction is Chapora Fort. The best nearby
attraction to this place is Vagator
Beach and Anjuna Beach.
The best time to visit this place is from November To March.
Beach is a very good place for those who have decided for
a long-term stay in Goa. The number of hotels in the areas near
to the beach is really very few but to supplement this there are
rented houses that are scattered among the coconunt plantations.
This is really a fascinating part of the Goan coastline. The village
is sitauted on the estuary of the Chapora River and is overshadowed
by a rocky hill where one can find a Portuguese fort too.
One can really freak out on food in this place as there plenty
of restaurants, cafes etc. There are even banks, restaurants,
cyber cafes, hospitals, post office etc... etc....
Number of buses come in from Mapusa and Calangute Beach to Chapora
beach. More over there are also Direct buses from Panjim.
Rented Motorcycles as well as taxis are also available.
Variety of reasonable guesthouses as well as other accommodations
are available. try the west side of the main street in Chapora.
